Cookie policy

Last updated September 8, 2026

We set eight cookies. All eight are first-party, meaning they are set by this site and sent to nobody else. There is no advertising cookie here, no tracking pixel, no analytics product from another company, and no script loaded from another domain that could set anything of its own. That is not a policy position we could quietly change: there is no third-party script anywhere in the code that runs this site.

The one you get asked about

Seven of the eight are needed for the site to do the things you asked it to do, and there is no version of the site that works without them. We do not ask about those, because there would be nothing to do with the answer.

The eighth question is not a cookie of its own: it is whether the identifier above may also be used to count how many people open a car and how long they spend reading it. That is measurement of you rather than a service to you, so it is off until you say yes, and you are asked once. Saying no changes nothing about how the site works — no feature is withheld, nothing is slower, no page is different.

You can change that answer at any time from “Cookie choices” at the bottom of any page.

What we do with the counting, if you allow it

Two numbers per advert: how many people opened it, and how long they read it. Both belong to the random identifier, not to you — we do not know who you are unless you have signed in, and even then the two are never joined. Sellers see the totals for their own adverts, and the site uses them to decide which cars to show on the home page rails. Nothing is sold, shared or sent anywhere.

Turning them off in your browser

Every browser can block or delete cookies, and this site will still let you search, filter and read every advert. What stops working is anything that has to remember you between two page loads: a shortlist, an unfinished advert, and staying signed in.
